Best practice

Honour unsubscription requests

We allow unsubscription to be carried out either via a click-through link or by email – providing different mechanisms for unsubscribing. We also publish a correspondence postal address that can be used for unsubscribing should all other methods fail!

Unsubscribe requests are honoured immediately and will be acknowledged by an email.

We make it very easy to unsubscribe!

Include comprehensive unsubscription information in each mailing

Every email you receive will have full information explaining why you are receiving the email and how you can avoid receiving any future emails.

Remove undeliverable addresses from future mailings

We automatically remove email addresses that incur a permanent failure or multiple transient (temporary) failures in a short space of time.

Ensure that lists are not used for abusive purposes

We work hard to make sure that we don’t send email to anyone who doesn’t want to receive it.

One of our approaches is to implement a "suppression list" which permits people to have subscription requests ignored.

Fully disclose terms and conditions of the use of addresses

You can find out exactly how we will use your email address at the top of this page!

Fully disclose the nature and frequency of mailings

You can find out exactly how often we will email you at the top of this page!

Don't acquire lists for email

We don’t.

One subscription, one list

Your subscription will only be to the Neoco mailing list.

Develop, display and reference a Privacy Policy

You can read our privacy policy at the top of this page.

Protect email addresses of individuals disclosed in the publication

No one else who is subscribed to our mailing list will ever get any access to your details. All messages are addressed and sent individually.

Protect emails against "harvesting"

By subscribing to our newsletter, your email address will not be published anywhere on the Internet.

Disclose subscriber information

We include the subscriber email address within the headers and body of every email message sent to help you identify which email address you have subscribed with. You should never have any difficulty figuring out which email address we are sending your information to.

Provide your physical/mailing address and phone number

In accordance with the US CAN-SPAM act, we disclose our full postal address within the headers of every message sent.

Respond promptly to inquiries and spam complaints

We endeavour to respond to all inquiries and spam complaints within 5 working days.

Disclose US CAN-SPAM info in each email header

Use X-Fields in the email header to disclose information required by the new US CAN-SPAM act. This includes (a) that the email is a solicitation or advertisement, (b) that unsubscription can be effected by following the information in the email and (c) the physical/mailing address of the publisher.

Use consistent "from" addresses

We will endeavour to address our emails consistently so that they are always sent “from” the same email address. This is in our interests as well as yours because it allows you to whitelist our email address!

Disclose system function information

You can read all about subscription and unsubscription at the top of this page.
