So we’re having a Spring clean at Neoco HQ (yes we know it’s now Summer but give us a break, we’ve been very busy!) and we came across some cool goodies that we’ve hoarded from launch parties we’ve organised over the past few years. Being the generous agency that we are, rather than come to blows with each other over who gets what, like fashionistas at a sample sale, we decided to gift it to all our followers.

This week, we have 10 copies of Time Out’s ‘London Calling: High Art and Low Life in the Capital Since 1968’ to giveaway. A beautifully illustrated book, it uses “the magazine’s unique archives of words and pictures, as well as reminiscences from key players, and newly commissioned essays by leading writers, to tell the story of the capital and its inhabitants over the past four decades”. Not bad, eh?

Parts of the Neoco team celebrating my birthday

Throughout my internship of course I answered phones and made teas but I honestly didn’t mind doing all that because I got the chance to do things that most interns don’t even get near to experiencing. I went to festivals (T4 on the Beach and Lovebox) with Wii game Just Dance and Topman events, got to improve my knowledge by going to various talks by industry experts, found out that I can’t eat a jam doughnut in under a minute, was involved in brainstorm meetings and felt that what I had to say actually mattered, and made a whole bunch of new friends (whom I will miss so much) in and out of the office.

I learned a lot in just two months, I had no industry experience before I came here and I’m happy to say that I’m leaving with more than I had hoped for. Thank you all for this amazing opportunity and making me feel part of the team and not just a random girl that came into the office for 9 weeks!

Comcast world

These days, and again done by Goodby Silverstein and Partners, working together with Nexus Productions, there is a new campaign called Dream Big. Presenting a fantastic website using a look-alike of isometric view Sims-style games, you can join the so-called Comcast Town, choose a neighborhood and then build your own space, using the capabilities of the Triple Play feature (tv, phone, internet) and inserting the product in a really smart way inside the experience.

Also i liked very much the way in which user interacts with others in the website and also through social networks like Facebook making a good use of Facebook Connect to get users logged onto the site, and doing it in a way that really makes it not so disruptive as i once wrote.

I won’t extend very much, just visit the site and discover it because it’s worth a good time spent on it. I found that there’s also some TV commercials:
